Tuesday on MSNBC’s ‘Now with Alex Wagner,” Wagner laughed and mocked the Tea Party candidates facing primaries today as “dogs” with guests former Gov. Brian Schweitzer (D-MT) and Huffington Post editor Howard Fineman.
Schweitzer first called the Tea Party a poorly trained puppy which prompted Wagner to say, “It is a dog off the leash in many ways.” Fineman continued with that analogy saying the Republican incumbents were forced to move to the right to “escape the the jaws of that hungry dog.”
<br.The trio was particularly harsh to the Republican Iowa candidate for U.S. Senate Joni Ernst, who had run a early ad about growing up on a farm and castrating hogs. Wagner was shocked Iowans would be willing to elect the Tea Party favorite to the "upper chamber" where she would be allowed to legislate.
