Friday while discussing Kynect, the state of Kentucky’s healthcare exchange, with local reporters, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) pointed out several upcoming problems including Kentucky medicaid roles being increased by 50 percent and the coming realization by health care providers that low-income patients who’s insurance is heavily subsidized by the federal government will not be able to pay large deductibles being offered by the plans on the state exchanges.
