On Friday’s “Special Report” on the Fox News Channel, “All-Star Panel” segment panelist George Will, A.B. Stoddard and Charles Krauthammer reacted to the announcement earlier in the day that Jay Carney would be stepping down as White House press secretary.
Partial transcript as follows:
WILL: Free at last, free at last. Thanks God, Almighty I’m free at last. I’m sure he’s saying being an intellectual sociopath is part of the job description of any press secretary of any president. That is, you have to come out and say things you know are preposterous.
STODDARD: I think we’ve known for a while he was leaving and he wants to have a good summer and it was interesting timing just because of the Shinseki resignation but it’s not a surprise at all.
KRAUTHAMMER: I’ve said about a hundred times he was underpaid. He won’t be anymore.
