Rep. Tim Huleskamp (R-KS) told radio host Laura Ingraham that conservatives and Tea Partiers “are on the outs in John Boehner’s party,” and that the Republican establishment in DC “has tried to cut off all the money for anybody that disagrees with them” today. Huleskamp added that Republican members of Congress are sometimes afraid to speak out against Speaker Boehner because they could lose campaign funding or committee positions, something he has seen personally as “four of us [Representatives] in the last year and a half were stripped of our key committee assignments.” He said there are rumors of a “secret list” of conservatives that is circulated among Republicans on Capitol Hill, and that individuals are told not to give money to anyone on the list. Huelskamp added that he thinks Boehner “should go” as Speaker, and declared “we need some folks from red states” in the GOP leadership.
