Mookie Wilson, an outfielder for the 1986 World Series Champion New York Mets and perhaps most famous for being the hitter on the infamous Bill Buckner error, was asked about the national controversy regarding St. Louis Rams player Michael Sam on Monday’s Laura Ingraham Show.
Wilson said that while he believes he must “love all people,” and will treat Sam “like a human being” he feels “very comfortable” speaking out against Sam’s homosexuality, and stated that wasn’t ok with Sam’s now famous post-draft kiss on ESPN.
