CBS News Discovers Another VA Hospital Using Secret Waiting List to Hide Delays

On Tuesday’s broadcast of CBS’s “Evening News,” network national correspondent Wyatt Andrews interviewed Chicago VA social worker and employee Germaine Clarno, who alleged there were multiple secret waiting lists of veterans kept at the Hines VA Medical Center in Hines, IL.

In that report, Clarno claimed these waiting lists were part of a scheme to give the impression that there were short waiting times at the hospital, which VA hospitals are awarded with bonuses for those short waiting times.
