Last week at the “First Time Fest” film festival in New York City, liberal documentary filmmaker Michael Moore revealed why he owes his film career to the Bush family. Moore told the story of his friendship with George W Bush’s cousin and Kevin Rafferty, who Moore says taught him the art of filmmaking during the making of “Roger & Me” in 1989.
Moore went on to say during the Camp David screening of “Roger & Me,” for then President George H. W. Bush only one Bush family member enjoyed the film. Moore used a sniffing gesture as he told the story of George W. Bush laughing hysterically through the film suggesting he was on cocaine at the time.
