Conan Takes Veiled Shot at Leno on Rival's Final Night

While outgoing NBC “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno’s competitors were gracious in their farewells on his last night hosting, TBS’s Conan O’Brien may have been the exception. During his monologue, O’Brien reference NBC’s coverage of the Winter Olympics and remarked NBC finally found someone “OK with passing the torch.”

O’Brien seemed to be referring to Leno’s return to the 11:30 p.m. ET late-night slot, which displaced him as “Tonight Show” host in 2010.
