Several hundred lawyers in the Pakistan capital of Islamabad have broken through a gate into an area which houses the US Embassy and other foreign missions.
The protests are among many others across the globe, which were sparked by an anti-Islam film produced in America.
Police stopped the demonstrators before they could reach the US Embassy, which is surrounded by another set of high walls and protected by security guards.
