Flashback: ABC Uses Hidden Video and Heavy Editing to Attack Pro-Life Pregnancy Centers

There has been a coordinated and deceitful attack led by Media Matters to try to discredit the work of Live Action and their undercover expose of Planned Parenthood. The left has tried to suggest that because Live Action’s videos were edited and the cameras were hidden, they were in some way a hoax. They have also tried to cast doubt on the investigation because Live Action used actors to portray a pimp and a prostitute.

Our friends at Eyeblast.tv have uncovered an investigation ABC News conducted in 1991 using hidden cameras and undercover actors posing as women looking for abortions. ABC News says that this was a three-month investigation and it is condensed into a 15 minute report. Clearly, there was a lot of selective editing done in this report. Where are the full, unedited tapes? Live Action has released theirs.

Oh, and the biggest difference between this investigation and Live Action’s: ABC News was looking to expose Pro-Life groups trying to dissuade women from having abortions. That activity is apparently worthy of scrutiny, but not the activities at Planned Parenthood.
