MSNBC Reporter Saves Democrat From 'Buying Votes' Gaffe

Democratic Representative Robert Brady told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell his strategy for getting out the vote in Philadelphia: “We still have the street money and we’re very knowledgeable.”

Instead of allowing that statement to stand as a classic gaffe, Ms. Mitchell gave her guest an escape hatch five minutes later. We wonder if someone might have suggested something in Ms. Mitchell’s ear piece since the follow-up didn’t come immediately after the Congressman’s statement.
