MSNBC Lib Talker Ed Schultz kept saying the Washington Post “reported” that 175,000 people came to the “One Nation” rally. However, the actual quote from the Post is: “More than 400 groups endorsed the Nation Working Together rally, which organizers said drew a crowd of 175,000 people…” That’s right, the 175,000 number “reported” in the Washington Post is sourced to the rally’s organizers not a 3rd party, objective source.
But this doesn’t keep Schultz from hammering this issue as if the Washington Post had independently and objectively reported the crowd number as fact. “The Washington Post reported 175,000… there are reports of 175,000 people.” Hey, ED… The Washington Post reported that the rally organizers said 175,000, that’s not exactly the same thing!
