Fox News: An FAA computer malfunction involving access to flight plans caused nationwide flight cancellations and delays Thursday. The glitch was fixed by mid-morning.
The FAA said the computer system was up and running again before 10 a.m. EST. But flights across the United States will likely continue to be affected throughout the day.
The Federal Aviation Administration’s automated computer systems couldn’t retrieve flight plans and in some cases they had to be inputted by hand, a spokeswoman said earlier.
