Record-Shattering 232K Migrants Apprehended in December

Border Patrol reports indicate the Biden administration will shatter the previous record for the number of migrants apprehended who illegally enter the U.S. between ports of entry in December. An unofficial Border Patrol report shows that agents apprehended approximately 232,000 migrants in the first 28 days of December. With three days to go in the month, agents could apprehend nearly 260,000 by the end of the month.

Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 29,000 migrants during the extended Christmas weekend. While most American families enjoyed the celebrations of Christmas with family and friends, Border Patrol agents stayed to their tasks of processing, transporting, caring for, and eventually releasing thousands of migrants pushed across the border by human smuggling cartels.

Texas Border Wide Open as Sector Shutters Stations for Catch and Release

The overwhelming surge of migrants crossing the Rio Grande forced the busiest border sector in Texas to close Border Patrol stations so personnel may be reassigned to migrant processing and transportation duties. According to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection source, the announcement came on Friday, ordering managers to cease operations at stations in Carrizo Springs, Comstock, Uvalde, and Brackettville, Texas.

CBP Sneaks Out Report of 191K Migrant Apprehensions on Friday Before Christmas

Border Patrol agents apprehended more than 191,000 migrants who crossed the border between ports of entry in November, according to a report released on the Friday afternoon before the Christmas extended weekend. House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green (R-TN) sharply criticized the Department of Homeland Security for what he described as the late release of the numbers.

Texas Begins Migrant Relocation Flights to Chicago

Texas Governor Greg Abbott stepped up the process of moving migrants out of the state to sanctuary cities by starting migrant flights to Chicago. The escalation follows actions by the Chicago mayor to interfere with migrant buses sent from the Lone Star State.

14 Migrant Bodies Recovered near Border in December, 240 More Rescued

As the Biden administration’s border crisis continues in record-shattering numbers, Border Patrol agents must also deal with migrant deaths and rescues. Thus far in December, agents recovered the bodies of 14 migrants who died while or shortly after crossing the border from Mexico into the U.S. Another 240 migrants were rescued from life-threatening circumstances by Border Patrol agents, according to a Border Patrol report.

Mexico City’s Former Top Cop Denies Hiding from Cartel Threats

Mexico City’s former top law enforcement official is denying claims that he left the country over a planned cartel hit. In 2020, Mexico’s Cartel Jalisco New Generation sent four squads of hitmen to carry out a large-scale ambush attack that failed to kill that top cop. The attack left the law enforcement official injured. Two others and an innocent bystander.

5-Year-Old Migrant Dies in Chicago Shelter, Others Hospitalized

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson offered condolences to the family of a five-year-old migrant child who died of an unknown illness over the weekend at a city-operated migrant shelter. The child, Jean Carlos Martinez-Rivero, was a new arrival at a converted warehouse known as the Pilsen Shelter, which was used to house migrants.

Exclusive: 13K ‘Special Interest Aliens’ from Countries that Support Hamas Cross U.S. Border Since October

According to a source within Customs and Border Protection, more than 13,000 migrants the agency considers “Special Interest Aliens” have been apprehended by the Border Patrol since October. These migrants include foreign nationals from Turkey, Afghanistan, Sudan, Syria, Iran, Yemen, and Russia. According to the source, most have been released into the United States to pursue asylum claims.

Exclusive: Unstoppable Wave of Migrants in Texas Forces Border Patrol Checkpoint Closures

With no signs of slowing, the latest migrant surge into Texas’ busiest border sector forced the agency to suspend operations at highway checkpoints. Nearly all Border Patrol agents in the Del Rio Border Patrol Sector have been redirected from border enforcement duties to focus on processing, transporting, and providing humanitarian care for more than 7,000 migrants in custody at local facilities and at a temporary outdoor staging site near Eagle Pass, according to a source within CBP.

EXCLUSIVE: Mexican Cops, Army Clash by Mistake near Texas Border

A series of investigations continue under the radar in connection with a confusion of sorts where Mexican Army soldiers exchanged gunfire with a group of Tamaulipas State Police officers. The soldiers apparently mistakenly identified the police as cartel gunmen. Government officials in Mexico tried to cover up the shootout, even though one soldier and two police officers were shot.

Democrat Arizona Governor Sending National Guard to Border

One week after sending a letter to President Biden, critiquing his administration’s handling of the border within her state, Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs (D)announced she will send the state’s Army National Guard to the border. The soldiers will assist the Arizona Department of Public Safety and local law enforcement agencies with security operations to include fentanyl interdiction, analytical support, and to suppress human trafficking.

Photos: Migrants Searching for Border Patrol Agents in Arizona Find CBP Port Inspectors Instead

Hundreds of mostly African migrants crossing into the United States from Mexico near Lukeville, Arizona, on Tuesday evening were hoping to find Border Patrol agents to surrender to. The migrants, hoping to gain release into the United States to pursue asylum claims, were instead greeted by Customs and Border Protection Officers whose traditional duties are to facilitate legitimate trade and travel at a nearby port of entry that the Biden Administration shut down in response to the surge in illegal crossings.

A warning sign has been placed at the entrance of the Organ Pipe National Monument area, recommending tourists refrain from entering the area due to ongoing Customs and Border Protection (CBP) operations. Nearby, the town of Lukeville is completely shut down and void of human presence. At the same time, Breitbart Texas witnessed a constant flow of mostly African migrants crossing the border wall and walking through the Organ Pipe National Monument, hoping to secure their freedom in the United States on Tuesday evening.
