Texas border city cops raided a gaming parlor operating despite being ordered to close during the Coronavirus pandemic. So far, the city of Laredo has 10 confirmed cases of Covid-19.

The raid took place on Tuesday when detectives with Laredo Police received information that an 8-liner parlor called Bravo Amusement Center was open and letting customers inside even after the city issued an emergency ordinance that called for the closing of all entertainment venues.

According to information released by Laredo Police, agents set up a surveillance operation and saw several customers park their vehicles and enter the gaming parlor through a rear door. Authorities intercepted a 45-year-old man who was in the country illegally and admitted to having been playing inside the venue.  The cops turned the man over to U.S. Border Patrol.

During a raid of the business, authorities found 30 gambling machines that were being used and spoke with the manager, 41-year-old Nora Idalia Garcilazo who according to police said she knew she was violating the city ordinance. Authorities seized more than $5,000 USD and $6,000 pesos and issued a citation to Garcilazo.
