Border Patrol Agents Capture Previously Deported Child Rapist After Illegal Re-Entry

Border Patrol agents arrested a previously deported child rapist with a lengthy criminal history after he illegally entered the U.S. from Mexico on Monday. The criminal alien has a history of felony convictions in “sanctuary” California.

Agents assigned to the Yuma Sector arrested Hector Gutierrez-Perez after he illegally crossed the border from Mexico. The agents transported the Mexican national to the Yuma Station for immigration processing and a biometric background investigation, according to information obtained by Breitbart Texas from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials.

During a records check, agents learned he had previously been deported from the U.S. because of his criminal history that included the rape of a minor in California. Law enforcement database records stated that Gutierrez-Perez had previous felony convictions in Bakersfield and Santa Cruz, California.Those convictions include “unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor,” obstructing a public officer, and battery.

His criminal history goes further with convictions for drug possession, transporting/selling narcotics, hit and run, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, CBP stated.

The previously deported criminal alien now faces new charges of aggravated re-entry after removal as a sex offender and convicted felon. If found guilty on the charge, Gutierrez-Perez could be sentenced to up to 20 years in federal prison.

Gutierrez-Perez will be held in federal custody pending the outcome of his prosecution by the Department of Justice for the District of Arizona.
