Immigration officers successfully deported a 39-year-old Salvadoran man wanted in his home country for the alleged sexual assault of a disabled minor and other offenses.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers returned Elvis Recinos-Agreda to El Salvador after learning the man had several international warrants for sexual offenses. Those include charges of allegedly sexually assaulting a disabled minor, pornography, sexual harassment, aggravated rape, sexual harassment, indecent exposure, and other sexual assaults and continuous offenses, according to information obtained by Breitbart Texas from ICE officials.
U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested Recinos-Agreda in October 2017 after he illegally crossed the border from Mexico in October 2016. Under Obama Administration catch and release policies, immigration officials freed the Salvadoran national on an “order of recognizance.” The arrest took place in Hidalgo, Texas.
Immigration officials learned about Recinos-Agreda’s warrants in April 2017 when Interpol-El Salvador issued a “Red Notice” for the alleged sexual offenses. By June, ERO officers learned that the man lived in New York City metropolitan area. ERO officers obtained an order of removal from an immigration judge and ERO New York officers picked him up on November 22, 2017, officials reported.
ERO officers flew the man to El Salvador this week where they turned him over to local law enforcement officials who will prosecute him for the alleged sexual offenses
After being arrested in Texas, Recinos-Agreda chose the sanctuary city of New York to be his residence.
