A team of gunmen entered a restaurant to execute a local police chief in the Mexican State of Chihuahua. The attack appears to be an escalation of the violence between the Juarez and the Sinaloa Cartels for regional control.
A video from surveillance cameras leaking to social media in Chihuahua reveals the execution of Edgar Perez de Peña, the police chief in Cuauhtemoc as he was eating at a local restaurant.

As Breitbart Texas has been reporting, the violence between the two cartels spread to include attacks on local and state police officers. In the border city of Ciudad Juarez alone, 11 police officers were murdered in connection with the ongoing violence.
Editor’s Note: Breitbart Texas traveled to the Mexican States of Tamaulipas, Coahuila, and Nuevo León to recruit citizen journalists willing to risk their lives and expose the cartels silencing their communities. The writers would face certain death at the hands of the various cartels that operate in those areas including the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas if a pseudonym were not used. Breitbart Texas’ Cartel Chronicles are published in both English and in their original Spanish. This article was written by Tony Aranda from Nuevo Leon.
