Police in North Texas are looking for a man that witnesses said made “lewd” comments to at least two young girls and “propositioned” them for sex. The incidents happened at a Target store in Grapevine over the weekend.
Officials with the Grapevine Police Department released video screenshots of a man they want to talk to in connection with complaints from two mothers about his behavior, NBCDFW reported. According to local police, the women said the as yet unknown man made “a lewd comment to a 9-year-old girl about assaulting her” and then he “propositioned another child’s mother about sex acts with her 11-year-old daughter.”
Police describe the man as a white male, about 40-years-old with short brown or black hair. He is estimated to be five feet, six inches tall. Grapevine police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man. The video screenshots show the man wearing dark-colored clothing and black shoes. He reportedly drove off in a gray or gold car.
The two separate incidents occurred within minutes of each other at the Target store located on Ira E. Woods Avenue at about 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, the Dallas Morning News reported.
The mothers notified store management and security about the incidents but the man left the store before they could intervene.
Grapevine police detectives are asking that anyone who might know who the man is to contact them at 817-410-8127.
Target Corp. continues to suffer lagging sales and a deflated stock price after the company’s announcement they would allow men who identify as women to enter women’s bathrooms and fitting areas. In April, the company’s CEO, Brian Cornel “expressed frustration” about the policy after it was announced, Breitbart News’ Warner Todd Huston reported. The Wall Street Journal estimated the company’s value fell from $50 billion to $30 billion after the announcement.
