A Texas man allegedly shot his boss and turned his gun on himself in a Dallas-area office building. Dallas police say the investigation is beginning and no reports are available about the condition of the shooter or his boss.
UPDATE – 2 p.m.: Dallas Police Department Assistant Chief Randy Blankenbaker told reporters that a man entered the building and shot and killed a woman who had been his supervisor. He then turned the gun on himself. The names of the killer and his victim have not yet been released pending family notification. A Dallas police officer was wounded by debris after firing a shotgun at a glass door in order to obtain entry to the locked office. No other injuries have been reported.

At about 10 a.m. on Monday, Dallas police received calls about shots fired inside an office building on the city’s north side. Witnesses told local news outlets a man shot his boss in an office on the seventh floor of a building located on the LBJ Expressway in north Dallas.
“At the same time the shots happened my boss directed everybody to get in the corner and get down low,” a woman who works in the building told Fox 4’s Dionne Anglin. “People started screaming. SWAT came in and told everybody to get out. They had guns pointed. Everybody had to come out of our office with our hands up and come down 10 flights of stairs.”.
Dallas police tweeted they are investigating the incident and will have new information available soon
A SWAT team has arrived on the scene. Police are treating the incident as an ongoing active shooter incident at this time., NBCDFW reported.
One witness told NBCDFW reporters that an officer may have been injured. Dallas police tweeted a response that no officers received a “life-threatening injury.”
It appears a DPD officer sustained a minor injury from debris.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner has not yet been called to the scene, the NBC affiliate reported.
WFAA reported the shooter may have killed himself. Dallas police are not confirming that at this time.

Dallas report the building has been “made safe.”
