BATON ROUGE, Louisiana – President-Elect Donald Trump is reportedly planning a visit to Louisiana in continuation with his post-election tour, where he is expected to campaign with Republican Senate candidate John Kennedy.

The Trump team is currently looking for a venue to hold the Louisiana rally, sources told WBRZ.

Trump loyalist and Louisiana native Woody Jenkins wrote on his Facebook page “There’s a good chance the President-Elect will be here Friday,” just before sources came forward to confirm Trump’s likelihood to visit the state.

Last week, Vice President-Elect Mike Pence rallied in the state with Kennedy, who is facing a run-off election against Democrat Foster Campbell, thanks to the state’s jungle election system.

Sources told WBRZ that Trump is expected to campaign with Kennedy in an effort to boost his already high-expectations for winning the senate seat.

Louisiana residents were infamously visited by Trump following the 2016 unprecedented flooding crisis, where more than 100,000 residents were devastated, as Breitbart Texas reported.

Trump was the first high-profile American leader to visit the region, as his opponent at the time, Hillary Clinton, never took a trip to the area.

The President-Elect won by a massive margin in the state on Election Day, sweeping more than 58 percent of the popular vote.
