Drunk Aggie Hits Cop Car While Taking Topless Snapchat Photo

An allegedly intoxicated Texas A&M University freshman crashed into a parked police patrol car after taking a topless Snapchat photo.

The 20-year-old hit the police car when she was about five miles away from the College Station Texas A&M campus and on East Villa Maria Road, the Houston Chronicle reported.

The officer whose vehicle was hit, was responding to a disturbance call. He heard “a vehicle braking hard,” saw the gray Acura SUV hit his patrol car, and saw that the young woman was not wearing a shirt.

The Bryan police officer, John Sartell, was reported to say, “I asked her why she was not dressed while driving and she stated that she was taking a Snapchat photo to send to her boyfriend while she was at the red light.” He also said that Miranda Radar’s bra was unclasped and she was attempting to put her shirt back on when he approached her vehicle.

Snapchat says on its website, “From the beginning, the way we treat your information has been very different from other technology companies. We don’t stockpile your private communication, and we don’t show your friends an ongoing history of everything you’ve ever posted. We believe that this approach makes the Snapchat app feel less like a permanent record, and more like a conversation with friends.”

Sartell completed an affidavit that the college freshman had a bottle of wine in her car and said she had drank about a quarter of the wine at a friend’s house. She told the officer she was bringing it home. The officer stated that the wine bottle was about a quarter way full and the liquid smelled like an alcoholic beverage.

She was taken to a local hospital where she had her blood drawn. She was then taken to the Brazos County Detention Center.

The young Aggie was released on a $2000 bond after been booked and charged with driving while intoxicated with an open container, Brazos County Lieutenant Carey White was reported to say. She was also cited with a minor in possession of alcohol citation.
