Pothead Mexican Mayor to Trump: ‘See You in Hell’

MONTERREY, Nuevo Leon —  A Mexican mayor with a history of drug use and of having made a deal with organized crime, took to Twitter to speak out against Republican Presidential Nominee Donald Trump, saying that he will see him “in hell.”

Mauricio Fernandez Garza, the current mayor of the ritzy town of San Pedro, took to social media to publish the message “Donald see you in hell” in an attempt to protest the possibility of Trump reaching the White House.

“I don’t have the slightest doubt that the sir (Trump) will one day be in hell and well if I have the opportunity, without a doubt I’ll go say hi,” said Fernandez, who is serving as mayor for a third time,  during a news conference.

While he claims to respect the U.S. electoral process, the Mexican politician said he was upset by Trump’s comments and strategy to secure the border and take on terrorist groups.

“I know we have to respect the electoral process, that is why I am simply saying that we will see each other in hell … I cannot stop expressing my ideas and dislike to a ‘phobic’ individual towards Muslims, Latinos, women, and everybody.”

At the end of his public event, Fernandez further compared Trump with Adolf Hitler due to a “phobic craziness”.

The Mexican politico appears to have a sordid past since WikiLeaks released a 2009 classified cable, “09Monterrey435”, purportedly linking him to drug use and organized crime. Fernandez was detained at Veteran’s International Bridge in Brownsville by officers with U.S. Customs and Border Protection after they discovered marijuana and pills in his vehicle. The consular cable made public by Wikileaks was written by the U.S. Consul for Nuevo Leon, Bruce Williamson.

At the moment of Fernandez’s detention, he, along with an unnamed woman, were planning to travel to South Padre Island, Texas. CBP officers found more than 200 pills that were suspected of being MDMA (ecstasy) or a muscle relaxant. Authorities also found a pipe with marijuana. During the detention, Fernandez confessed to being a recreational smoker. Immigration authorities seized his U.S. visa and levied a fine against Fernandez.

The National Action Party (PAN) member later lied to local news outlets by claiming that he had forgotten his U.S. visa and was sent back to Mexico. The information revealed by the consular cables mentions alleged links between Fernandez and the Beltran Leyva Cartel.

According to information from WikiLeaks, as well as information shared with Breitbart Texas by Mexican authorities, Fernandez allegedly negotiated a local monopoly with the Beltran Leyva Cartel. In exchange for keeping crime down in the city, the cartel was able to deal drugs in Centrito Valle, an exclusive area where the sons of politicians and wealthy businessmen frequent.
