U.S. Border Patrol agents busted a previously deported illegal alien sex offender after he re-entered the U.S. in southern California. The Mexican national had been previously convicted “of a sexual offense with a minor.”
Information obtained from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials by Breitbart Texas revealed the previously deported illegal alien was observed by Border Patrol agents walking just north of the International Border fence in the El Centro Sector of southern California. The agents contacted the man and determined he had just illegally crossed the border from Mexico.
He was taken into custody by the agents and transported to the Calexico Border Patrol station. A bio-metric background check on the man revealed he had previously been convicted for a sexual offense involving a minor in September 2005. The court sentenced the man to spend 180 days in confinement and placed him on probation for three years. He was deported from the United States on January 12, 2006. No other information about the man or his criminal history was reported by CBP officials.
The aggravated felon will now face new criminal charges for Re-Entry after Removal as a convicted sex offender. This is a federal felony charge.
The arrest of this previously deported illegal alien sex offender illustrates the need to secure the border and rigorously enforce this country’s immigration laws. Breitbart Texas has reported extensively on the arrests of these previously deported sex offenders and the crimes committed in this country by previously deported illegal aliens.
The following day, Border Patrol agents working in the same sector stopped a man driving a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer as he approached the checkpoint on Highway 86. The man was ordered to a secondary inspection station after a Border Patrol K-9 agent alerted to the possible presence of narcotics. An “intrusive search” of the Trailblazer revealed bundles of drugs hidden in the muffler of the SUV.
The drugs were determined to be methamphetamine weighing 14.3 pounds. The estimated street value of the meth was reported to be $57,200.
The 36-year-old Mexican national was arrested and the vehicle and drugs were seized by officials. The Drug Enforcement Agency took custody of the man and the evidence and will be conducting an investigation for possible prosecution. No information about the Mexican man’s criminal or immigration history was provided by CBP officials.
