HOUSTON, Texas — Dinesh D’Souza’s new movie, “Hillary’s America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party,” is besting this year’s competition in the political documentary category. A little known fact though, is that his wife Debbie sings the film’s prelude and “God Bless America.”
Debbie D’Souza also has a cameo in the film as a Spanish-language instructor.
Hillary’s America was shown in three theaters over the weekend in Houston, Dallas, and Phoenix. Theaters in Houston were packed and people rose to their feet during the singing of “God Bless America” and the National Anthem. Movie-goers were delighted when Dinesh and Debbie D’Souza spoke to them from the front of the theater at the end of the movie.
As reported by Breitbart News, the Hollywood Reporter reveals that Hillary’s America garnered a $26,000 per-theater average, putting the movie in the top spot for per-theater average in the political documentary category. It beat out the documentary Weiner which earned $16,835 from five theaters during its opening weekend in May. Michael Moore’s Where to Invade Next, earned a location average of $2,912 when it was released in 208 theaters in February.
The premiere of the movie was in Los Angeles on July 12. Breitbart News reported that Dinesh D’Souza said that it would be “impossible for Hillary Clinton to get elected” if every one in America could see this film.
The movie chronicles the history of the Democrat Party starting at its birth with President Andrew Jackson who had a plantation and owned slaves. It includes President Woodrow Wilson who showed the Ku Klux Klan celebrating movie The Birth of a Nation at the White House.
President Lyndon Johnson’s promotion of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 in order to use blacks to get votes, and to continue to get their votes by making them and others dependent on government, was also a part of the movie. Democrats voted against the civil rights bill while Republicans were responsible for the Act’s passage. The film also exposes the racist motivations behind Margaret Sanger’s founding of Planned Parenthood — the aborting of black babies.
The film contrasts the genesis of the Republican Party with President Abraham Lincoln and Republicans fighting slavery in Congress and starting the Civil War. It also shows Democrats fighting against the passage of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and reveals that Republican votes in Congress were responsible for the legislation’s passage.
It opens with reenactment of scenes of D’Souza’s life when he was serving eight months in a minimum-security correctional facility. The patriot and filmmaker says he believes that his sentence for violating campaign finance law was punishment for his documentaries exposing Obama, including his films 2016: Obama’s America, and America: Imagine the World Without Her.
A scene in the movie shows an inmate telling D’Souza about scams that he pulled. D’Souza’s point — the Democratic Party has, and is, committing similar hoaxes on Americans.
Dinesh and Debbie D’Souza was married on March 19, 2016.
