U.S. Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley Sector busted five previously deported criminal aliens including three with sex crimes against children. Agents also rescued seven illegal aliens who had been abandoned in 100+ degree heat by human smugglers.
Border Patrol agents in McAllen, Texas, apprehended several illegal aliens over the weekend near the border with Mexico. The illegal aliens were from El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala. During processing of the illegal aliens, agents learned that five were previously deported felons with convictions for sex with a minor, child molestation, statutory rape, rape and unlawful imprisonment, information provided to Breitbart Texas by Border Patrol Public Information Officer Marlene Castro revealed.
These are just the latest examples of previously deported sex offenders and violent criminals who are free to return to the U.S. due to the open border policies of the Obama Administration.
The previously deported felons are being processed for possible prosecution by the U.S. Department of Justice for illegal re-entry.
Also over the weekend, Border Patrol Search, Trauma, and Rescue Unit (BORSTAR) agents rescued seven illegal aliens who had been abandoned by their human smuggler “coyotes” and left to die in the south Texas heat. The aliens were rescued in Brooks County just south of Falfurrias. The coyotes smuggle the aliens around the Border Patrol checkpoint located about 80 miles from the international boundary but will abandon any who fall behind because of injury, illness or exhaustion.
One of the illegal aliens was found to be severely dehydrated when discovered by the BORSTAR agents. He was provided first aid on the scene. The agents eventually called an Air Medical Transport to take the immigrant to a hospital in Kingsville.
Border Patrol officials issued a serious warning to people from other countries who are considering making the dangerous journey to Texas.
Breitbart Texas has reported extensively about the dangers faced by these immigrants in Brooks County. Nearly 30 people have been found dead in the county so far this year. Temperatures are expected to be well above 100 degrees for the next several weeks. Little chance of rain is listed in the weather forecast for the region.
