HOUSTON, Texas – A father and son were arrested early Tuesday morning in Houston on drug trafficking charges. Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) raided the home in northwest Harris County as part of a search warrant execution.
During the early morning hours, ATF agents raided the home of Angel Solis, Sr., and Angel Solis, Jr. The ATF agents were working with deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and officers of the Houston Police Department.
After executing a search warrant, agents arrested the father and son team on charges connected with drug trafficking, KHOU – CBS11 in Houston reported. ATF spokesman Nicole Strong told the Houston news outlet the raid was the result of a four-state investigation into drug trafficking.
One of the tattoo-covered men was captured in a Houston Metro video being questioned by ATF agents outside of the home located 10400 block of Gold Point near Rio Grande, the Houston Chronicle reported.
Responding to questions from Breitbart Texas, Strong confirmed that both of the men arrested were U.S. citizens. She stated the investigation was based out of the Washington Field Office and that she could not disclose what drugs or weapons were seized during the search of the Solis’ home. She referred Breitbart Texas to the Washington Field Division for any additional information.
Information about what other states were involved, or if any other arrests were made during the multi-state investigation. Reporters indicated the ATF agents were keeping other information tightly guarded. Agents did disclose that at other raids were being conducted in at least four other states.
The raid by ATF agents, Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Houston police officers began at about 5 a.m. on Tuesday morning, the Houston Chronicle reported.
