Breitbart Texas traveled to the Mexican States of Tamaulipas and Coahuila to recruit citizen journalists willing to risk their lives and expose the cartels silencing their communities.  The writers would face certain death at the hands of the various cartels that operate in those areas including the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas if a pseudonym were not used. Breitbart Texas’ Cartel Chronicles are published in both English and in their original Spanish. CIUDAD VICTORIA, Tamaulipas — Violence rages on as the ongoing struggle for leadership of the criminal organization known as Los Zetas continues bringing chaos and terror to this city. Ciudad Victoria is about three hours south of the Texas border and it is the state capital of Tamaulipas.

As previously reported by Breitbart Texas, Los Zetas are going through a series of internal fights after one faction tried to take over the city. This move has been met by harsh resistance by the current leadership of Los Zetas in Ciudad Victoria which has resulted in multiple executions, shootouts and drive by shootings.

Over the weekend, Los Zetas once again rained terror into the city by dumping a body with a narco-message at a busy intersection, shooting two men at a local nightclub and spraying bullets around the city.

A group of unknown gunmen pulled up to Morelos Avenue between 31st and 32nd Streets and dumped the body of a man. The body had the face covered with a bandage and had been shot at least eight times. Next to the body the gunmen left an orange narco-message signed by “Bravo Group”.

As the gunmen fled the area they fired multiple shots into the air in order to draw the attention of first responders and law enforcement.

Just minutes after the gunmen dumped the body, authorities said another group of gunmen shot at two men at a nightclub called Polox near this city’s downtown area. Authorities and emergency crews responded to the scene but one of the victims had already died outside the club by the time authorities arrived. Preliminary information points to the two victims trying to fight off their attackers by firing at them as well. The second victim was rushed to a local hospital where his condition remains unknown.
