HOUSTON, Texas – Details about a Texas family massacre that left six children and two adults dead emerged after the release of court records. David Conley allegedly killed Valerie Jackson, her husband, and six children on August 8th.
Search warrants obtained by KHOU 11 News revealed that when police arrived to the home in northwest Harris County, they heard gunfire coming from inside the home. Conley eventually surrendered to police, but not until after a standoff lasting approximately ninety minutes.
When police finally entered the home, they found the eight family members dead, apparently from gunshot wounds. They had all been bound with duct tape.
Sheriff’s deputies found a 9-mm handgun an empty box that previously held fifty rounds of ammunition. Thirty-six expended shell casings were found in four different rooms inside the home, KHOU reported. They also discovered handcuffs and four rolls of duct tape.
Conley revealed he knew the locks had been changed and that he entered the home through a bedroom window, court records stated. He also allegedly confessed to the murders of the eight people in the house.
In other search warrants, sheriff’s deputies revealed they gathered information from cell phones and computers. They also obtained information from his Facebook account where he used the name “Headhunter,” KHOU reported.
Breitbart Texas previously reported on a press conference where Harris County Chief Deputy Tim Cannon said the ages of the victims ranged from six to fifty. The deceased family members were identified as: Valerie Jackson, 40; her husband Duane Jackson, 50; and their six children – Nathaniel, Honesty, Duane, Jr., Caleb, Trinity, and Jonna. (Spelling of names were not provided at that time.)
The suspect’s name was released as David Ray Conley, III. At the time of the murders, Conley was wanted on an outstanding warrant for felony family violence, court records revealed.
