A Dallas County jailer was arrested after allegedly trying to have sex with a 14-year-old boy.
32-year-old Fernando Hernandez drove up to a teen walking on the road Sunday night, KHOU reported. Hernandez asked the 14-year-old to perform a sex act, but he refused. According to police, the jailer continued to ask the boy for sex; he then got out of his car and grabbed the teen’s arm.
The boy managed to fight off Hernandez, escape to his apartment, and evenetually told a relative about what happened.
Hernandez reportedly admitted to asking the boy for sex, but denies that physical contact was involved.
The 32-year-old has worked for Dallas County for seven years, according to the Dallas Morning News. His wife, who is currently on maternity leave, also works for the county as a jailer.
