Numerous citizens in Rhome, a quiet town outside of Dallas, Texas, were reportedly surprised to find recruitment materials from the Ku Klux Klan (KKK), a white supremacist group, scattered about their community. Reports state that residents found plastic bags containing KKK fliers and small rocks, according to the Daily Mail. Most of the materials were found hanging on front doors and placed on cars.
Resident Sally Fowler told KHOU.com, “I was repulsed. It’s offensive; it’s shocking. You don’t want that stuff in your neighborhood.”
The fliers resembled a U.S. Army recruitment poster. Some of them said, “The KKK wants you!” The purpose of the accompanying rocks is unknown.
At this point, it is unclear if the “official” organized Texas KKK was behind the distributed materials.
A spokeswoman from the Rhome Police Department told Breitbart Texas that Wise County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) dealt with the situation.
“It was just fliers, no assaults,” the spokeswoman said. “It could have been a college joke. It could have been something serious, or nothing serious.”
Breitbart Texas’ calls to the WCSO were not immediately returned.
