Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told a group of Democrats in South Texas she will “make a decision soon” about whether she will run to be the 45th President of the United States, according to local media reports. Tickets for the event ranged upwards from $1,000 to $25,000 per person.
Texas State Representative Bobby Guerra (D-Mission), carefully recounted Clinton’s answer to The McAllen Monitor, saying “She said she would make a decision at some time in the future, at the appropriate time.” The report claims that Clinton spoke about the state of U.S. health care, removing sugary drinks from schools, lessons she learned from other countries while serving as Secretary of State and education initiatives of the Clinton Foundation. The fundraiser was to raise money for the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation.
Breitbart News reported last month in an article by Winton Hall about money pouring into the “Ready for Hillary” super PAC. Hall reported maximum donations from billionaires Alice Walton (Walmart heiress), philanthropist Jon Stryker and financier George Soros in addition to donations of $25,000 from the Texas law firm, Steve and Amber Mostyn Law Firm.
Hall reported other major contributors “were Homeland producer Howard Gordon, the soon-to-be ex-wife of disgraced former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer, Silda Wall, Salesforce.com CEO Marc Benioff, John Tyson of Tyson Foods, and former Clinton operatives Lynn Cutler, Lanny Davis, and Ann Lewis.”
He stated that the super PAC has already spent over $1 million in online advertising, recruiting a massive army of volunteers and donors.
