NRA to Host 'First of Its Kind' Fundraiser in Houston Today

In what is being called a “first of its kind” event, the National Rifle Association’s (NRA) Institute for Legislative Action (ILA) is stepping out in a fundraising event with conservative radio talk-show host Michael Berry in Houston, Texas, Sunday March 16. ILA Executive Director Chris Cox will be the keynote speaker for the afternoon’s festivities that will be held at the Redneck County Club located in southwest Houston.

In an invitation to prospective attendees Michael Berry says, “With your help and support, NRA-ILA will persevere in upholding America’s inalienable individual human right to keep and bear arms.  We will continue to meet opponents of the Second Amendment with unflinching determination and an unwavering dedication to the preservation of our freedoms.”

Featured speakers for the event are Michael Berry, NRA board member and Texas activist, Susan Howard and Chris Cox.  The event will also feature a concert after the event from the Josh Fuller Band and Justin van Sant.  All proceeds from the event got to the NRA-ILA to continue their efforts to defend the freedoms all Americans enjoy because of the Second Amendment.

The event, open to the public with tickets, will run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and the concert runs from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. General admission tickets are available for $100.00 and tickets for a VIP reception are $2,500.  Tickets are available at the door or by calling NRA Texas Field Director Liz Foley at 281-298-0672.

The invitation concludes, “We will educate politicians and the public, alter decades of firearm misconceptions, transform the political landscape and ignite a nation of champions of the Second Amendment. And, we will not back down – not now, not ever. We will forever defend America.”

The Redneck County Club is located at 11110 W. Airport Blvd, Stafford, Texas.
