Brandon Darby, Managing Director of Breitbart Texas, joined the Lubbock, Texas based Chad Hasty Show Tuesday to discuss new Breitbart News ventures and Texas politics. Darby pointed out that although Breitbart Texas has only been around for eight days, all of the articles on the site have been cutting-edge and pertinent to the Lone Star State. He said, “Everything has been original, everything has been investigative, and everything has been deep.”
He said that Breitbart Texas is unique because all of the site’s writers live in Texas. In fact, he said, most were born and raised in the state.
Darby went on to say that although many Texas politicians call themselves Republicans, that doesn’t necessarily mean that they are true conservatives. He argued, “People get complacent and they think that because someone has an ‘R’ after their name, that somehow means that they’re not part of an effort to turn our state into a big government, wasteful blue state. Just because someone’s called a Republican doesn’t mean that they are actually a conservative.”
