The Fast Food chain Hardee’s recognized Joni Ernst, the first woman to represent Iowa as a United States Senator, with a full page ad in the Des Moines register, Thursday.

Ernst had given a shout-out to her former employer at her victory party, Tuesday night, saying; “well, Iowa — we did it. From the biscuit line at Hardee’s to the United States Senate — we are heading to Washington,” Ernst said to her jubilant supporters. The former hog castrator added, “And we are going to make them squeal!”

Via Twitchy, the shout-out did  not go unappreciated by Hardee’s, who thanked her for reminding us that “your job and your life are what you make of them.”
