George Takei Comes Out For Hillary in 2016

Count Star Trek’s George Takei, aka Sulu, as one of Hillary Clinton’s early supporters for 2016.

At times I support things that [Senator John McCain] says. He’s one of the rational Republicans. But I’m a Democrat and I think particularly with the Republicans now leaning more and more to the right, and with the extreme Tea Party people, there are very few Republicans that I can say are saying something rational.

Not related, but in August, Takei discussed with Stern his NYC apartment’s bathroom being too small for he and Brad to have sex. It’s a charming interview.

Takei shared the revelation on Thursday and has since elaborated at The Hill. Maybe she promised him a bigger bathroom? Well, it’s a thought, anyway.

The outspoken Democrat and gay rights advocate says he would “absolutely” campaign for Clinton if she decides to throw her hat into the ring in the 2016 White House race.
