Now that the Republicans have taken over the U.S. Senate, as well as picked up more seats in the House, many expect that an internal party power tussle could take place between conservative legislators and the old GOP establishment.
A coup d’etat in the House could be in the works early next year, as more and more conservative legislators a rumored to be in support of ousting the Obama-friendly John Boehner from his job of Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Make no mistake, the GOP establishment is in a bit of trouble, as more conservatives were voted into office, other up-and-coming freshman legislators now have more seasoned and could be willing to buck their leadership.
This being the case, I wholeheartedly expect Republicans to fumble the political football, and make Democrats look like they are the smarty pants in the room. GOP never fails to disappoint whenever they have all the power.
