McCain: Jeanne Shaheen Isn’t a ‘Serious member’ of Armed Services Committee

Speaking after an event for Shaheen opponent, Republican Scott Brown, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Democrat Jeanne Shaheen isn’t “a serious member” of the Senate Armed Services Committee, adding, “I don’t see her at very many of the hearings. I’ve not seen her propose any amendments or proposals that have to do with national security.”

The attack feeds into Brown’s continued attacks on Shaheen for being weak on national security. Polls have the candidates about even down the stretch.
