In response to Pew Research: Liberals More Trusting of Media than Conservatives:
In case you’re thinking Big Ed was referring to his MSNBC show — nope. Pew also found that MSNBC is not held in high regard — even among liberals.
As John Sexton noted:
Somewhat surprisingly, the most trusted news site on the liberal side was not MSNBC or the NY Times. NPR came in first at 72% trust followed by PBS at 71 percent. The NY Times was fourth on a list of trusted sources at 62% and MSNBC came in 8th at 52 percent.
Sadly, the Ed Schultz Show was excluded from a separate portion of the study which examined specific degrees of ideology for different news outlets’ audiences.
Why not? “Think Progress, Daily Kos, Mother Jones and The Ed Schultz Show are not included in this graphic because audience sample sizes are too small to analyze,” reads Pew’s explainer on the graphic.
