N.H. Dem Chair to College-Aged Voters: You Don't Matter

One would think that with a tough election battle between Republican Scott Brown and Democrat Jeanne Shaheen in New Hampshire, the chair of the New Hampshire Democratic Party, Raymond Buckley, would want college-aged voters upbeat and focused, as that bracket of voter does tend to support Democrat candidates.

Evidently, Dem Chair Buckley has other ideas. In essence, he opted to insult all younger voters with a lame attempt to cheap shot Scott Brown. Below, Buckley’s response to what even the media had to admit was an energized Scott Brown event at the University of New Hampshire.

For her part, Jeanne Shaheen doesn’t seem to have much time for younger voters, either – at least not that day. She was busy campaigning with uber-liberal  U.S. Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt who, at age 74, has been an entrenched D.C. fixture going on 40 years.

Contrast that with the Scott Brown event at UNH featured in the news report below. Democrats should be trying to inspire younger voters at this juncture, not dismissing them. Count the poor messaging here as but one more Democrat mis-step in a tough election year that’s proving to be chock full of them.
