Nothing last forever in life, especially marriages.
I am one of those that believes that gay’s should have the same right as heterosexuals to lose half of their life savings and future earnings in an inevitable and messy divorce that will come.
This 2014 election cycle Republicans have the upper hand over Democrats, and stand to make great gains in the U.S. Congress due to the disastrous and unpopular Obamacare law that is tightly wrapped around the necks of every single Democrat in Washington, D.C.
Democrats want to bait Republicans into latching on to these controversial wedge issues of abortion, same-sex marriage, contraception, that always seem to backfire on Republicans once they flapping their lips.
What really bugs me is when you have supposed “conservative-minded” Republicans like Congressman David Jolly veering away from the Obamacare focus and delving right into the Democrat playbook of deceive, divide, and deflect away from the important issues.
“As a matter of my Christian faith, I believe in traditional marriage,” Jolly said on Monday to the Washington Post. “But as a matter of Constitutional principle I believe in a form of limited government that protects personal liberty. To me, that means that the sanctity of one’s marriage should be defined by their faith and by their church, not by their state. Accordingly, I believe it is fully appropriate for a state to recognize both traditional marriage as well as same-sex marriage, and therefore I support the recent decision by a Monroe County Circuit Judge.” -Rep. David Jolly (R)
