The RT Network’s coverage of the Malaysian plane disaster was the last straw for longtime anchor Sara Firth. Today she quit and made clear on Twitter it was about the network’s penchant for dishonest coverage.
I resigned from RT today. I have huge respect for many in the team, but I’m for the truth. pic.twitter.com/mZ1g0R7N0D

Firth also tweeted this criticism:

In an interview with the Press Gazette Firth said coverage of the Malaysian airline disaster was, “the straw that broke the camel’s back for me.” She added, “You stop believing that what they say is the way it is and you stop being useful to them.”
Earlier this year RT reporter Liz Wahl quit the network on air saying, “I cannot be a part of a network funded by the Russian government that
whitewashes the actions of Putin. I am proud to be an American and
believe in disseminating the truth. That is why after this newscast I am
resigning.”
