New York Times Endorses Espaillat Over Rangel for Congress

Citing Charlie Rangel’s censure four years ago for serious ethics issues and his “nearly 44 years in office, the New York Times is calling for him to “yield to the next generation,” while endorsing his opponent Adriano Espaillat in Tuesday’s Democrat primary.

In Tuesday’s Democratic primary for New York’s 13th Congressional District, we recommend Adriano Espaillat, a New York State senator, who will be a better representative of this district stretching from Upper Manhattan into parts of the Bronx.

It’s time for a change, and Democratic voters in the 13th Congressional District should cast their ballot for Adriano Espaillat.
