In response to Google commemorates environmental hysteria and mass killing:
To add insult to injury, Google was slow to commemorate Memorial Day, yesterday, sparking outrage among many of their online users. Late in the day, Monday, the company finally added a tiny American flag and yellow ribbon to its page.
Google, which has a long history of not honoring Memorial Day, released a statement back in 2008 explaining the reason for their decision.
“If we were to commemorate this holiday, we’d want to express reverence; however, as Google’s special logos tend to be lighthearted in nature, this would be a particularly challenging design,” the statement read.
Yet, Yahoo, Bing and Ask.com all manage to honor our fallen heroes without appearing like insensitive clods. Apparently Google’s doodlers aren’t up to that task.
But what could be more insensitive than ignoring the ultimate sacrifices of our nation’s heroes on Memorial Day, and honoring a controversial left-wing figure – whose junk science hysteria killed millions – the very next day?
