A large aquarium in the T-Rex Café at Walt Disney World burst on Monday, sending large amount of water through the room and even over and around some customers turning the restaurant into something of a river cafe, whether diners liked it, or not.
Employees used nets and trash cans to try to save the aquarium fish, while patrons there with children had their own families to save from the unexpected deluge.
‘There was a lot of commotion,’ diner Katie Wallace told the Orlando Sentinel. ‘The whole section just sort of went crazy.’
Wallace was among the handful of customers who were able to snap photos and grab a little video of the shocking incident with their phones as employees quickly ushered them out.
‘The staff — they were doing the best job that they could,’ Wallace said. ‘It was craziness. Just kind of people freaking out. It’s not something that you see very often. How do you respond to that?’
Meanwhile, portions of the restaurant not impacted from the flooding remained open.
