Florida To Be 2014 Bellweather State

Pay attention to Florida these next couple of months, as the Sunshine State may signal what is to come in November.

Two special elections are set for the first half of this year. The first one is in March, where Republican David Jolly faces off against Democrat Alex Sink, and the second is in April to replace former Congressman Trey Radel.

The Jolly-Sink race will be close, but expected to go back to the Republicans. The race in southwest Florida will be decided in the Republican primary election, as the congressional seat heavily leans GOP.

So far, State Senator Lizbeth Benacquisto, former state legislator Paige Kreegel, and businessman Curt Clawson, have jumped into the race. Clawson has literally jumped in with his Super Bowl commercial that has his taking jump shots, and mocking the President for all of his missed opportunities.
