In response to Hillary Says Benghazi Attack Was ‘Unpredictable’ and ‘Unforeseen’ Event:
Somebody explain to me what it is that makes this woman so “inevitable” in 2016. Seriously, I don’t get it. Even without the Benghazi debacle, the State Department during Hillary’s tenure was marked by scandals and retaliation against whistleblowers while the Middle East burned. Her greatest feat as Secretary of State is that she traveled over a million miles – to accomplish what, nobody knows.
Nobody can cite any major legislation in the Senate that she was part of. As First Lady during the Clinton years, she coined the term “vast right wing conspiracy” to smear conservatives who were looking into her philandering husband’s corrupt shenanigans. Her big accomplishment back then was trying to force HillaryCare down the nation’s throat – an episode she’ll surely not want to remind voters of with ObamaCare such an ongoing disaster.
The only thing the woman has going for her are her adoring fans in the Democrat media complex, but after Benghazi, they’ve got some heavy lifting to do.
Despite a valiant effort at the NYTs, Hillary’s allies in the media haven’t been able to sweep Benghazi under the rug for her, the facts being what they are. As John said, the bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee issued a report which concluded that the attack in Benghazi was preventable. “The attack was preventable because it was not unforeseen or unpredicted.”
So when Hillary, who was the person in charge at the time, whimpers that she did the best she could with the “imperfect information” she had and goes on about “unforeseen consequences, unpredictable twists and turns,” you know her biggest regret indeed, is what happened in Benghazi – because it’s just about ruined her chances at being elected President of the United States.
