PBS’ television show “Sherlock” returned for its third season with an American audience of 4 million viewers. “Sherlock” stars Benedict Cumberbatch as sleuth Sherlock and Martin Freeman as sidekick Dr. Watson. Steven Moffat and Mark Gattis (of Doctor Who fame among others) created the series. If you aren’t watching “Sherlock,” start.
On the other hand, HBO’s hit series “Girls” returned for its thrid season to an audience of 1.1 million viewers. Girls is about a group of 20-something women (womyn?) living in New York, dealing with 20-something problems. According to Deadline, the numbers showed a 28% hike from the last season’s debut.
