Representative Emanuel Cleaver (D., Mo.) offered what may be the most bizarre defense ever heard of Healthcare.gov’s notable failures this evening on MSNBC.
“I’ve got a one-year-old granddaughter, and on Thanksgiving Day she had a number of little glitches, but we’re not ready to throw her away because of a glitch here and there,” Representative Emanuel Cleaver (D., Mo.) said on MSNBC on Tuesday. “Most things in the beginning stages are going to be difficult to pull off.”
The jokes would write themselves if the comparison wasn’t so absolutely ridiculous and inappropriate to begin with.
