2014 World Cup Prostitutes Will Accept Credit Cards

BRAZIL – “Enjoy now, pay later.” That is the new slogan adopted by prostitutes in Belo Horizonte, one of the host cities for the 2014 World Cup.  Sex workers in the state of Minas Gerais will be given chip and PIN machines after striking a deal with a bank, allowing them the ability take payment by debit and credit card. 

Cida Vieira, of prostitute’s group Aprosmig, explained one of the advantages of the new payment system: “Clients who want to extend their programme but don’t have any cash can stay with a girl for longer without any interruption.”

Their association said card payments would be better for clients’ security and bank statements would not specify the “activity.” Aprosmig also has a Facebook page where they posted what appears to be the machine they will be using although that is unconfirmed as my Portuguese is a little rusty

So as to leave no stone uncovered, the women are also taking English lessons in advance of the World Cup.
